Madeline hawk


Madeline Ha-Eun Hawk is a Ph.D. student in the Division of Cinema & Media Studies at the University of Southern California. She previously earned her M.A. in Cinema and Media Studies at USC and a B.A. from DePauw University in English Literature and Film Studies. She was awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to South Korea in 2016; while teaching English for two years, she spent her free time researching South Korean comfort women and K-Pop. Her research is invested in the relation between Korean diasporic communities and South Korean popular culture, with a focus on sports media industries.
