Nic Levesque is a first-year PhD student in the Division of Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Southern California. They received their BA in Visual and Media Arts Post-Production from Emerson College, and completed their MA in Cinema and Media Studies at USC. Nic’s research assesses the influence of psychedelic drugs and experiences on identity and popular culture, which has encompassed work on subjects as diverse as the James Bond franchise, Italian horror cinema, theme park design, and the mind-bending world of contemporary webseries.
