BROOKE BENNETT is a second-year MA student in Cinema and Media Studies at the University of Southern California and, upon graduation, she plans to continue her studies at the PhD level. She completed her BA in English (with a minor in Gender Studies) at the University of Arkansas, graduating Cum Laude in 2016. Her research interests include feminist media studies, television studies, gender studies, new media, video games, representational issues, and horror film and television. She has a forthcoming publication on AMC’s The Walking Dead and masculinity for an anthology associated with McFarland. Additionally, she was runner-up for the William E Brigman Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Paper in Popular Culture presented at the Popular Culture Association national conference in 2017 for her work on Telltale’s The Walking Dead: Season One game in relation to gender and race.
